Our colourful history turned into farce,
In crowded streets our voices lost,
Our hopes and dreams are trampled upon,
Verily our souls are smitten and scourged,
Frightened from brutes we submitted to harsh,
Who break our homes and shattered walls,
Tyrants played their heinous part,
From marginalised they seek identity cards!
Their tongues drip poison spreading wars,
They divide the world sowing discord,
Yet we stand resilient waiting for new dawn,
O homeland born and nurtured in your embrace!
Our forefathers fought for freedom with courage and grace,
We face religious violence oh what a shame!
Oppressors guided our land to edge of disgrace,
Free yet we are not free,o God in this case,
Did ever humanity rise from the ash?
Marginalised are vibrant souls belonged to God,
Tyrants who stifled the cries of wronged,
In hell forever they will verily last,
For no throne of power so grand,
Can escape from justice of Divine Hand.
