Ode to Enlightenment

Allah is the light of earth and heavens,

Illuminating us with divine radiance,

Surah an nur the glowing lantern,

Which imparts us the moral guidance,

So behold! the inferences of verses enlightened,

Malicious tongues have no bones,

Sharper than sword sturdier than stones,

Backbiters whispers stings like scorpions,

Allah knows man’s malicious intent,

When devil speaks out from their tongues,

Allah will make them shortly repent,

Restoring peace amongst humans,

When heart informs eye of beautiful person,

One’s heart is verily bound in chains,

Pious indeed lower their gaze,

Experience delight and sweetness of faith,

So whoever opposes their desires base,

Satan shall flee in terror from their shade,

With every glance their souls brightly emanate,

Woman’s modesty is a virtue rare,

‘Cause true beauty thrives where chastity is there,

Allah’s love their submissiveness declares,

Respect boundaries listen dear ones,

For love will flourish in its presence,

Allah taught manners of seeking permission,

Before entering the house of anyone,

Healthy boundaries help adolescents,

To grow and emerge a strong person,

So let’s respect what is right and genuine

Beware the tongue that speaks in impatience,

Can sow discord where once love stationed,

Let wisdom resides and guides all humans,

Allah’s just and grave in punishment,

Surah nur verses depicts wisdom,

Guides the heart, a path to illumination.
