Wedged between floor and ceiling,
Not a space to move an inch!
Mai’s spirit remained undaunting,
Verily it was dark and depressing,
Angels illuminated the trapped realm,
Mai attained coolness,found her footing,
At various times,she saw death staring!
Rescuers on their knees started digging,
Alhamdulillah! they heard her soft voice echoing,
With blurry eyes, she saw them, it was amazing,
She was saved,it was shocking!
Draped in hijab,she preserved her esteem,
Gratitude was conferred, on rescuers at all times,
For pride is hubris,it rots the soul within,
From Hebron to Gaza,from Haifa to Ramallah,
This is the story of each fairer being,
They now knew the truth of journeying,
This world is not a place of lodging,
They know the doorway of life everlasting,
Following commands of Allah is true worship of Him.
