Al-Araaf

On Al-Araaf where souls converge,

These thirsty souls will long for heavens,

A way to unseen will be verily open,

The dazzling beauty of eternal gardens!

Delights their heart to utmost extent,

Salamun alaikum they say to its inhabitants,

They will ask their Lord to pour blessings upon them,

Since their good and bad deeds are equivalent,

Hearts will tremble all souls will be impatient,

Fettered spirits will seek their Lord’s benevolence,

Asks their Lord not to send them in perdition,

For seeing the hell their hearts will shaken,

Whose residents are fed with fires flaming,

Who will stay in this everlasting damnation,

And hath deprived ’emselves of joys of heavens,

Al-Araaf’s people will ask its residents-

“All the arrogance you used to show didn’t come for your assistance,”

So they will stay in this dreadful destination,

For disobeying their Lord The Omnipotent,

From Al-Araaf’s verses we find right direction,

Each choice we make decides hell or heaven,

Allah we crave for Your mercy as we are always sinning,

Still in our hearts are hopes and yearning,

That our Lord will provide us everlasting heaven.
