Adam (alayhis salam)

What a King He is, to fashion a slave from dust,

Breathe His spirit unto him,rendered him animated,

And commanded angels to prostrate upon, first  Khalifa on earth,

All prostrated except, iblis the accursed!

A proud confronter to negate Allah’s decision,

Became a fallen jinn,thrown out of heavens,

Lifting his haughty head,to his own will he surrendered,

Beguiled Adam(a.s.) in eating fruit,which Allah had forbidden,

Foe in the guise of friend,who mislead our parents,

At instant they seek forgiveness,from Allah The Omnipotent,

Tears rolled from their eyes,like incessant rain-drops,

Allah granted them respite from perpetual torment,

From Adam’s(a.s.) life we learned humility and repentance,

One should obey Allah and fill our heart with vigilance,

For ‘He’ is Lord and Commander of all elements.
