My father is a diamond,who is so precious,
The values he imparted are so noble,
As a daughter i was spell-bound by his strength,
He carries within himself an ocean of love,
A gift sent by Allah The Gracious,
Each dawn he walked besides me to waiting bus,
He played with us on grassy surface,
With shuttle in his hands,joy on the run,
Son and daughters, his heart besides heart,
In his warm gaze we always brighten up!
When hostel walls kept us separated,
He brought weekly treats rich with flavour,
Mom cooking’s wrapped with father’s love,
When he heard the cries of my new-born girl,
His heart reborned,he smiled like roses!
Whether he was happy with people or upset,
Always forgives those who wronged his heart,
O father you stood through storm and took care of us,
Illness grips your body and you fight in silence,
Your sacrifices are deep etched in my tender heart,
May Allah always bless you,a sincere wish from daughter!
