Let not thy tongue condemn my Heart

O never say i was false of heart,

For thou have never read my mind,

And thou are so possessed with hate,

Towards myself you verily conspired!

That almost freezes up the person’s mind,

As i lay down on my couch,

Ah! evil thoughts engulfed my mind,

And kept my drooping eyelids open wide,

Lo! by day my limbs are afflicted,by night my mind,

So change thy thoughts,that i may change my mind,

For thee and myself no repose find-

Putting hate in our hearts is death in disguise,

To shaytan’s snare we’re verily beguiled,

To be arrogant or humble is a power of choice,

Let our hearts with God’s love be illumined,

For Allah will bring us from darkness to light.
