False Pride

Pride is the character of haughty hearts,

It’s a pure offence to the will of God,

It is like satan’s deceptive tide,

By God’s throne he refused to abide,

It is a crown for the unwise,

Pharaoh and Qarun (Korah) took the devil’s side,

After losing mind they lived like beastly kind,

For them flattery was a way of life,

Swallowed by sea and land, their arrogance sealed their fate.

Listen O haughty men and proud!

You can’t tear the earth or match mountains might,

One day you too will face God’s wrath,

‘Cause pride is the way to fools’ paradise.
