Ramadan

Here arrives our beloved Ramadan,

This month were revealed the verses of Quran,

For Allah we fast from dawn to dusk,

For him our breath is fragrance of musk,

Fasting is the rein of muttaqin,

Almighty Allah is closer to us than our jugular vein!

Fasting cleanses our body,mind and soul,

A time to give charity and attain self control,

To attain taqwa is its goal,

A month in which Most Merciful revealed best of speech,

Is there a month who hath night of decree?

There in descends angels and their leader jibril(a.s.),

There is peace until appearance of dawn,

Month of Ramadan is a spring of Quran,

So read the Quran with melodies and intonation,

Fulfilling its purpose muslim be rewarded with salvation,

In this month body is detoxified of toxins,

May Allah enrich our hearts with blessings,

AlMighty we are your guests in month of Ramadan,

Accept our fasting instill in us virtues,

Which are pleasing to thine!

Give us Eid ul Fitr which is the feast of fast breaking.
