Bilal(r.a.)

One of best in galaxy of sahaba,

His melodious voice echoed in Bakkah,

An abyssianian slave of Jew in Makkah,

Incurred master’s wrath in accepting islam,

Torturers took turn in his persecution,

Despising him to their core intent,

They called him son of a black woman,

He proved himself faithful to tribulations,

Ahadun!Ahadun! cried God fearing servant,

Rising above in spiritual excellence, 

Eventually Abu bakr(r.a.) bought Bilal’s(r.a.) freedom,

Finally he became free muslim!

First one to give adhaan in Jerusalem,

Sayyid al Mu’azzineen and Prophet’s(s.a.w) companion,

His foot steps were heard by Prophet(s.a.w) in jannah,

Bilal died rejoicing,hoping for God’s union!
