True Love

A withered rose instead of a heart,

Pulsates anxiously in agony and distress,

None can hear its cries and silences,

Knows the pain of being treated with contempt!

From cradle till death life’s a test,

Verily wisdom of man is put to check,

The heart clings to its mouldering wall,

With every hurt it is torn up,

Ah! melancholy please speak to me,

With a voice like flowing honey!

Our sweetest song tells our saddest thought,

This too shall pass, my heart says it’s over,

For no hurt can last forever,

I saw moon’s silvery reflection in dark water,

Cupping the  water in dazzling moon’s rays slips through my fingers,

Bidding adieu to my saddest moments,

God’s love like river stays in my heart,

In Divine love my heart found true love,

A beacon of hope in darkest hours,

Allah’s love beyond compare!
