Ray Of Hope

The sea turned red,the skies burned,

Ah city trampled down by wild nations!

The sin was ours we didn’t understand,

Immobile ummah didn’t rise or stir,

Several decades passed, people longed for freedom,

O sweet people of the sacred land,

Tears of world keep thy memory enlivened,

O childless city with no life, joy and sound,

Oh how the little flowers are trod upon!

O Allah protect them from these brainless flippants,

Whose desires blind the mind with delusions,

And cool the heart of believers facing fascists torment,

The righteous path is long and wearisome,

Verily the night of dark oppression will end,

Though freedom hadn’t showed them it’s face,

A ray of hope is alive despite all turbulence.
