Hud(a.s.) The ruin of the proud

In the vast expanse of Al-Ahqaf,

Rose Hud(a.s.) the prophet of Aad,

Who boasted of their strength and pillars grand,

Hud(a.s.) bade them to worship Allah,

And bow down before their sovereign Lord,

They laughed and scoffed at what he said,

Bring forth the doom they said to prophet of God,

Yet couldn’t withstand Allah’s wrath,

Pride is hubris,run amok!

Across the land they hailed the cloud advanced,

And thought sweet rain, would bless their thirsty land,

But nay,it was a punishment from God,

The wind arose at its Creator’s command,

Rih sarsar, roared a furious raging blast,

People of Aad,lay lifeless like hollow trunk of palm,

Verily Iram’s fame brought low by His command,

Hud(a.s.) and his aides were protected by His Mighty

Lord,

O Lord of the worlds, how great thou are!

The winds obey, the heavens heed thy command,

All power is Thine,to Thee all things return,

You are the Only One,the OnlyOne,O Ar-Rahman.
